Financial Questions & Fees
1. How much will my loan cost in interest and fees?
- Initiation Fee: A once-off fee to set up your loan.
- Service Fee: A monthly fee for account maintenance.
- Interest: Calculated based on the loan amount and duration.
- Note: All costs will be clearly displayed in your loan agreement before you sign.
2. How do I repay my loan?
For your convenience and to ensure you stay up to date, we collect repayments via Debit Order. This is automatically scheduled to coincide with your salary date to prevent missed payments and unnecessary bank charges.
3. Can I pay my loan off early?
Absolutely! You can settle your loan earlier than the agreed date. You can find your “How to repay early” by logging into your profile at Jabulanimoney.co.za
Eligibility & Documentation
1. What specific documents do I need to upload?
To verify your application, please have the following ready:
- A valid South African ID (Smart Card or Green Booklet).
- Your 3 most recent bank statements (PDF format preferred).
2. Do you perform credit checks?
Yes, we do perform credit checks as part of our responsible lending process. However, we place a high priority on your current affordability. If you have a steady income and can comfortably afford the repayments, we encourage you to apply.
3. Can I apply if I am self-employed or a freelancer?
Yes. If you are self-employed, we require 3 months of bank statements to verify your income consistency. Please ensure the bank statements clearly show deposits of your business or personal income.
Application & Account Status
1. How long does the approval process take?
Most applications are reviewed within a few business hours during our working hours (Mon-Fri, 8 am – 5 pm). Once approved, funds within the same day during the banking hours.
2. Why was my loan application declined?
The most common reasons for a decline include:
- Insufficient affordability based on your income vs. expenses.
- Incomplete or unverified documentation.
- Active debt review or administration.
3. Can I have two loans at the same time?
No. To prevent over-indebtedness, we only allow one active loan at a time. Once your current loan is paid in full, you are eligible to apply for a new one immediately—often with a higher limit and faster approval.
